Zarcone, CAMS
Vincent Zarcone is a Supervisory Special Agent with Homeland Security Investigations and has served with the Kansas City Special Agent in Charge office since 2019. He developed and is the Commander of the Midwest High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) multi-state interdiction task force, staffed by federal and state agencies. Vincent has overseen a broad spectrum of federal and state financial investigations and possesses specific subject matter expertise of money laundering and financial crimes stemming from drug trafficking, bank fraud scams, national security, and terrorism financing. He was instrumental in working as a liaison to establish an ACAMS Chapter in Kansas City and as part of these efforts, he worked closely with HSI and ACAMS to coordinate the first national ACAMS bootcamp training for HSI agents at the Kansas City Midwest HIDTA. Vincent is an ACAMS certified anti-money laundering specialist.
Vincent held key leadership positions at HSI Headquarters in Washington, DC for their National Security, International Operations and Office of Professional Responsibility divisions. He previously held assignments as an HSI Special Agent in Arizona assigned to the HIDTA financial task force and as a Senior Special Agent with the Office of Professional Responsibility, where he was also assigned as a task force agent to the FBI Border Corruption Task force. With 24 years of federal law enforcement experience, he has extensive investigative experience related to money laundering, financial crimes, corruption, fraud, and misconduct. He has been interviewed throughout his career by media outlets and entities related to his investigative experience and has represented HSI Kansas City at conferences and meetings and was a dedicated agency instructor in visa security and national security.
Prior to his federal law enforcement career, he worked in corporate banking in Charlotte, NC, holding FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses and throughout his career has had a dedicated passion for generating collaboration between law enforcement and the financial banking sectors. He has consistently established bridges to the banking community via the HSI Cornerstone program, which is dedicated to collaboration between HSI, ACAMS and the banking community. He has been recognized throughout his career by agency leaders for innovation, collaboration, and leadership. Vincent holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the State University of New York and Buffalo in addition to a variety of law enforcement certifications.
