New technology has emerged at the forefront of payment processing bringing new challenges for anti-money laundering professionals, law enforcement, and supervisory agencies. With traditional banks taking a backseat to business-to-business and peer-to-peer transaction settlement, at least one financial technology firm has taken steps to implement an AML program that takes elements from both banks and other money services businesses.
