Stephen
Argenbright, JD, CPA, CAMS
Stephen is a native of Texas, having grown up in the Dallas area and still resides there today. He received a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University. While attending the SMU Law School he sat for the Certified Public Accountant Exam and passed all parts on the first sitting.
Immediately following SMU Law School, he worked for Ernst & Whinney as a Staff Tax Accountant, where he stayed until the merger with Arthur Young. After a brief stint with a North Dallas law firm, he spent the early and mid 1990’s working in the corporate legal departments of Panda Energy and The Coastal Corporation. In the late 1990’s he accepted a position as Director Business Development at CHI Energy, an organization owned by Morgan Stanley and Credit Swiss. In the early to mid 2000’s, Stephen owned and operated and Internet based operation, and was awarded two business method patents from the Untied States Patent and Trademark Organization. With the birth of his son in 2005, he accepted a financial advisor position at Union Bank of Switzerland (“UBS”) and subsequently left to become a financial advisor with H&R Block Financial Advisors. In 2010, Stephen pursued independent project work, focused mostly on reviewing documents for electronic discovery, but his latest project (May 2017) was working for Allsec in its AML review of Standard Charter Bank’s correspondent banking transactions. Stephen obtained his CAMS in July of 2016.
Stephen is a licensed attorney, Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist.
