Brenda Medina, a Dominican journalist based in the United States, has been an investigative reporter with ICIJ since 2021. She worked on the Pandora Papers, the largest global journalism collaboration to date, based on a leak of millions of secret financial records. She also reported on the Uber Files, an investigation into the ride-hailing giant’s chaotic worldwide expansion. Medina, who is focused on advancing her knowledge of global financial flows and law and regulation in the financial crimes space, also helps ICIJ coordinate with partners and members in Latin America. She hopes the CAMS certification will help her better spot illicit financial activity.
