Izewicz
Paulina Izewicz is a Senior Research Associate at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS), Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. Her work focuses on the implementation and enforcement of counter-proliferation sanctions, as well as sanctions evasion. At CNS, she leads several projects focused on maritime sanctions. Since 2018, she has developed and delivered training on this topic to flag registries and other maritime stakeholders in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Pacific Islands. Prior to joining CNS, Paulina was a Research Associate at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in London, where she also managed programmatic work on sanctions, and at the Institute for Science and International Security in Washington, DC, where she focused on the technical aspects of Iran’s nuclear program. In addition to her position at CNS, she is also an Associate Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI).
