Kaur
Lash Kaur leads all internal, external and strategic communications at ACAMS in addition to being responsible for the global Chapters network and ACAMS Advisory Board.
She joined ACAMS in January 2019, as she was drawn to the social impact aspect of the role, which includes fighting modern day slavery and human-trafficking. She works closely with the organization’s members and key stakeholders for thought-leadership and global positioning, and to initiate deep, meaningful and measurable change in the world of financial crime prevention.
Prior to ACAMS, she was the regional head of communications for a NASDAQ listed education company – Laureate Education, Inc. In her capacity as VP Communications for the EMEAA region (Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific and Africa), she drove social impact initiatives, thought-leadership and branding building, along with change management across the region.
Lash has also led her own boutique communications agency; managing global accounts ranging from Shell to Nestle and Unilever. This included Laureate International Universities, which led to her giving up her entrepreneurial dreams to pursue a career in social change. Lash started her career as a journalist with the Malaysian Business Times.
